Charlie’s Pre-HRT MTF Transition Tips | Moisturize

Take time every day to moisturize your body from head to toe, and I don’t mean just slapping it on in a rush! Really take time to connect with yourself — massaging it into your skin, showing your body some love. This really helps battle body dysmorphia and it improves your skin; win, win.

It’s also best, especially with facial skin, to use something that has SPF. A facial moisturizer that works very well on dry skin, especially in winter is Neutrogena “hydro boost”, which comes in a teal colored jar and will leave your skin feeling soft, clean, non-greasy and moisturized for hours.

Make sure you use a moisturizer that is right for your skin. Not everyone has the same skin. Some are dry, some are oily, some are combination. Most mosturizers will be labelled accordingly. You will also find that your skin may change once you start HRT, and become more dry (for most).

Oh, and try avoid scented moisturizers. Although they are lovely to smell, some skin types may react to the scented moisturizers.
