Shackles Removed

In the beginning … I struggled to see her. I knew she was inside, but I just could not see her in the mirror at all.
14 April was one year since I removed my shackles and started being myself. Now, even in complete boy mode with a 2-day beard … I see her. Even pre-HRT. More and more I see her even in old photos. Something inside has changed. And it proves gender is not about body parts. It’s a state of mind. It’s who I am, not what I look like.
